Chris joined the business in 2009 following several years in the construction industry, and specialises in commercial fire and general insurance. His focus is to ensure clients get the right advice and to be your advocate for all matters relating to your insurance.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, Adrianna, and his three children Ollie, Charlie and Thea. He also enjoys all sport, cooking and travelling.

Jon Gallagher PQIB

Insurance Adviser

Jon joined GYB as a Claims Manager and has subsequently moved into a broking role. Jon has been in the insurance industry for almost 20 years, beginning his career as a Claims Handler for State Insurance and filling a variety of roles over the years, more recently branching out to Sales and Underwriting with Vero Insurance.

Jon resides in the Hutt Valley with his wife and two young daughters. In his spare time Jon enjoys teaching the drums.

Nicki Dansby-Scott PQIB

Broker Support

Nicki joined GYB in March 2019 in a broker support role following 5 years at other Wellington brokerages and 10 years at Vero Insurance. Her current role is to provide any administration support required for the GYB brokers.

Outside of work, Nicki enjoys spending time with her two children, Ashleigh and Connor and enjoys music, movies, baking and gardening.

Holly Keith PQIB

Holly joined GYB in 2020 in a broker support role and has recently become a qualified insurance adviser. Her current role involves providing advice and assisting a range of clients with their insurance requirements.

Holly resides on the Kapiti Coast with her husband Duncan and fur baby, Luna. In her spare time Holly enjoys spending time with family, cooking, playing pool, shopping and travelling.

Tania Goss CQIB

Insurance Advisor

Tania joined GYB in October 2021 as a Broker Support. She started her insurance career as an underwriter in 1986, followed by working as a Broker for several years, before taking a break. Tania has subsequently moved back in the the broking world as a Certified Qualified Insurance Broker.

Tania enjoys spending time with her husband Ash and daughter Rebecca. Experimenting in the kitchen, going to the gym, watching most types of sport and being an Uber driver to Rebecca fills up any spare time she may have.

Julia Hastings PIA

Claims Advisor

Julia joined GYB in 2022 as a broker support, following a break from the industry. Her previous roles include customer service, sales, design, along with 10 years industry experience as a claims handler.

Julia lives in Lower Hutt with her 2 teenage children. Her hobbies include home renovation, regular exercise and following her children’s sports.

Kristie Joined GYB in November 2023 as a broker support, after working in the life insurance industry for over 10 years.

She spends her time with her 3 kids, Kade, Blake and Blaire and husband Reece and enjoys banter and a good margarita.

Carly has spent 18 years building a strong career in insurance broking administration and management. She’s a qualified Insurance Adviser with a knack for credit control and making processes run better for everyone. At home, Carly loves spending time with her husband Dave, her family, and her beautiful dog, Bleu. She’s a total foodie and happiest when cooking or out in the garden.

Steve Minnis

Steve has over 30+ years insurance industry experience working with a diverse range of domestic and commercial clients. In his current role Steve works with GYB Brokers in a support capacity, utilising his insurance knowledge to assist with day-to-day operations.

Steve lives in Whitby with his wife, Daphne. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with family, tinkering in the garage and gardening.
